Terms of use

Last updated October 14, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Redwood Creative, LLC (“we”), which runs Naamia. By creating an account or using Naamia you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

Your account

Registers and the people you invite

Anyone you invite to a register can see its names and every member's ratings. Parents can manage members and invites; anyone with an invite link can join, so share links only with people you trust, and rotate them from the You tab if one gets out.

Your content

Names, notes and ratings you add stay yours. You give us permission to store and display them so the app works for you and your register, and to use the names themselves (never who added them) to improve name information and suggestions.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

We may suspend accounts that do.

Name information

Meanings, origins, pronunciations and suggestions are partly written with the help of AI, and popularity figures come from public U.S. Social Security Administration data. We work to make them accurate but can't promise they are. Please check anything that matters to you before deciding on a name.

Purchases

Some features may require a purchase. Prices are shown before you buy. Purchases made through the App Store are handled by Apple under Apple's terms, including its refund policy.

Changes and availability

We may change or discontinue features. If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.

Disclaimers and liability

Naamia is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the past 12 months or $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Apple

If you use Naamia on an iPhone, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to support the app and is not responsible for claims about it, but Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms as third-party beneficiaries.
